There are 8 planets in the solar system. The planets are sorted into many categories but most of the time they are sorted into inner planets (terrestrial) and outer planets (gas giants, or Jovian.) These are the categories that we sort the planets into, the terrestrial planets are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars. The gas giants are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.

It can be a little bit tricky at first, but the more popular topic websites you make the easier it will get.
